Facts: Reprazent won the Mercury prize for their groundbreaking debut-album “New Forms” in 1997. Unfortunately the band split up after the release of their second album “In the Mode”. In 2007 the collective reformed and is still famous for its thrilling live-shows focusing on a highly organic brand of Drum’n’Bass. Their welcome-gig at the Scala in London was frenetically welcomed by both fans and media. When Dubstep-producer Benga sampled the Reprazent-hit “Brown Paper Bag” in his track “M2” it has become clear: Reprazent now have become part of the pop cultural heritage of early 21st century. February 2008 finally saw the re-edit of the groundbreaking “New Forms” album with three additional tracks including the new single “Don’t Hold Back”.
